‘Your father.’ Those two single words had made me freeze for a second until I had started running even faster. If it was my father, it could only mean big trouble. It could only mean my family was in danger. My mind raced with questions that I had no answers to.
What was my father doing here?
How did he find out?
What did he want?
Why was he attacking us?
What did Jimin mean by saying he wanted me?
Were my loves hurt?
Was Alina okay?
What about my children?
All these questions ran through my head, one after the other. I ran and ran as fast as my legs could carry me.
‘Ahh!’ The four of us yelped together, feeling hurt in both our chest and tummy. It forced us to a stop for a moment, but we quickly regained our pace.
‘Al…Alina, she’s hurt,’ Jin said, fear clearly heard in his voice.
‘I can’t… I can’t reach any of them through the mind link,’ Yoongi said. I felt a chill run through my back and to my paws as I ran faster until I reached our home.
I froze as I saw the blood on the front steps. The others stopped behind me – the silence deafening and chilling. My eyes fell on Alex who was on the ground. I gulped as I looked at Namjoon who shook his head.
‘He…he’s…they killed him,’ Jin stuttered, clear distress and heartbreak in his voice. I felt my own heartbreak but I also felt rage…pure, unfiltered, white, hot rage.
‘I’m going to *ing kill him,’ I said as I began to make my way inside, wanting to find the others. The smell of blood was stronger and I felt dread filling my body.
I transformed into my human form, knowing the wolves were long gone by now. I walked into the living room – it felt like my whole world was stopping.
The whole room had been messed up, furniture broken and upturned and blood covered the walls and the floor. On one side there were Jungkook and Hoseok, covered in blood but I could feel their heart beats. They were alive.
On the other side, across the couch there was Huening Kai who was also covered in blood but was groaning in pain. That meant he was alive. I looked on as I saw Jimin, completely soaked in blood, almost as if his body had been cut to ribbons. He had seemed as if he crawled next to Alina who was unmoving on the ground. Soraya was next to her, wailing and crying and sobbing loudly. Her small hand was on top of Alina who was losing blood.
‘MAMA!! WAKE UP MAMA!’ Soraya screamed as I fell to my knees. I heard gasps from behind me and I knew everyone was in shock. I didn’t even know who to go to first until my body crawled towards Alina and Jimin and our daughter while the others checked on Jungkook, Hoseok and Huening Kai.
‘Ba—baby,’ I called out as I reached for them. Soraya saw me but she still continued to cry loudly.
‘Papa!! Mama won’t wake up!!’ she screamed and I hurried next to her. I looked at Jimin who was breathing painfully but his wolf abilities would help him to heal. Alina was a different story.
‘Soraya, baby,’ I called out, not sure what to do until my eyes fell on her tiny hands that…oh Goddess… they were emitting the same white light Alina did whenever she healed, only not as strong or bright.
Suddenly, there was a gust of wind and I looked up to see a worried Jia along with Shang and Don. ‘Oh goddess, what happened here?’ Jia asked as she knelt down next to us.
‘Wolves…my…my father he…he attacked them…Jia?’ I asked as she looked at me. ‘Is she going to make it? Is our child going to make it?’ I asked.
Jia came closer as she looked at Soraya who seemed tired. ‘Soraya, sweetie, go to your papa,’ Jia said. Soraya let go of Alina as she went to crawl to me but suddenly collapsed.
‘SORAYA!!’ Yoongi screamed as he came next to us quickly, taking her into his arms.
‘Soraya is okay Yoongi. She…she was using her powers for the first time,’ Jia asked as she suddenly smiled. ‘I can’t believe it. She may not have healed Alina but…but her magic, it kept her and the baby alive,’ Jia explained.
I gasped as I looked at Yoongi who looked stunned as well. Jia quickly put her hands over Alina and the light came out. The wounds started to heal rapidly and from the corner of my eyes I saw Shang and Don working on Jungkook and Hoseok.
I heard groaning and I turned to see Jimin waking up. ‘Jimin!’ I called out as his eyes fixed on me. They widened suddenly as his tears began to fall.
‘Alina, Soraya,’ Jimin called out as he went to move but quickly yelled out in pain. Namjoon was quick to be beside him.
‘Jimin calm down, you’re still weak from the injuries,’ Namjoon said as he helped him to sit up. Shang came over just as Hoseok and Jungkook also approached, looking tired and weary. I looked at Don who was healing Huening Kai. Everyone’s eyes fell on Jia who had managed to fix Alina. Alina’s body moved slightly but we all knew she was going to take longer to regain her energy.
‘Jimin…my love, what happened?’ I asked. Jimin looked at Jungkook and Hoseok as they looked on sadly.
‘They….they came out of nowhere. There were too many of them Tae,’ Jungkook explained.
‘We heard Alex shout, warning us but before we could even get to him,’ Hoseok stopped as he licked his lips. ‘They jumped him and killed him on the spot. We told Jimin to take them inside but there were too many Taehyung. We were outnumbered and outpowered and they…they made a mess out of us,’ Hoseok explained.
‘They took…he took Minho!’ Jimin said, making my eyes go wide at the sudden revelation.
‘No! No tell me you’re lying. TELL ME YOU’RE LYING JIMIN!’ I screamed at the top of my lungs but I felt arms around me. It was Jungkook, trying to keep me steady as I bawled my eyes out.
I sobbed loudly just as Alina and Huening Kai both woke up. Alina looked at me and then the others. Her hand went to her tummy as she looked at Jia.
‘Your unborn child is safe Alina,’ Jia said but her voice cracked. Alina looked at each of us but gasped.
‘Minho…where’s Minho?’ she asked as she began to get agitated. I saw Namjoon and Jin quickly go to hug her but she pushed them away. ‘Where’s our son? Where is he? Tell me where our son is!’ she yelled.
‘He…he took him Alina,’ Namjoon said. She shook her head as she let out a heart wrenching crying.
‘NO!! NOT MY BABY!!’ She sobbed as Namjoon and Jin both hugged her tightly. Everyone had tears in their eyes and I looked at my family who looked to be in so much pain.
I stood up and I felt eyes on me. ‘Taehyung, wh—what are you doing?’ Yoongi asked as he stood up, still holding Soraya in his arms. I looked at them and touched Soraya’s face with my finger before I looked at Yoongi.
‘I’m going to make my father pay for ever touching my family. He wants me, well, he’s going to get me,’ I said through gritted teeth.
‘Taehyung don’t be rash! We need to plan and—’ Jin said but I shook my head.
‘* plans. * all plans. I am going there and I am going to tear them limb by *ing limb,’ I said as I felt myself starting to shake and tremble.
‘Taehyung, we know you’re upset, angry and worried, but, please, we need to think it through and the best way to get Minho back,’ Namjoon said.
‘HE HAS OUR SON!!’ I yelled, making all of them flinch slightly. It didn’t feel like my normal voice – it felt strong, more in command.
‘Your—your eyes,’ Jungkook said as Alina looked at me, stunned.
‘Wh—what are you talking about?’ I asked as they exchanged looks. ‘I don’t have time for stupid games. I’m going to go get our son back, with or without your help,’ I said.
I turned around to leave but I quickly felt a hand on my arm. I stopped, recognizing the soft touch. I let her turn me around as she looked at me with her tearful eyes.
‘Taehyung, I want our son back too but your father, he’s smart, he’s waiting for you to show up like this. We need to be smarter so we can bring back Minho safely and so you won’t die because,’ she paused as she took a deep breath. ‘Because we need you – Jin, Namjoon, Yoongi, Hoseok, Jimin, Jungkook – they need you. Soraya and Minho need you. This baby needs you and I need you,’ she said as she touched my cheek, calming me down slightly.
‘I just want to get our son back and make him pay for hurting you, for hurting people we care about,’ I said as I sniffed.
‘I know my love,’ Hoseok said as he also approached. ‘And he will,’ he added.
‘If we work together,’ Namjoon added.
‘Together as one family. We’ve always been stronger together,’ Jungkook said.
‘We’re in this together Taehyung. Trust me when I say that I want to make him pay too but our priority has to be getting Minho back,’ Jin said as I nodded.
‘And we’ll do that together. Besides, we’re not alone,’ Jimin said as Yoongi nodded.
‘Your father underestimated our pack and our allies,’ Yoongi said with a small smile.
‘You can count on our help. You know you always have our allegiance and loyalty,’ Shang said as I nodded.
‘It’s time to send for the whole pack and maybe the fairies can help again,’ I said as Alina nodded.
‘They will,’ Alina said before she turned to Jia, Shang and Don. ‘Thank you for choosing to stand by our side once more,’ Alina said.
‘We are in this supernatural life together for the long run. You’ve always had our backs, we’ll have yours,’ Don said.
‘By the way, how did you know we needed help?’ Jimin asked.
‘Well, to be honest, I heard like sobbing and crying. I wasn’t sure what it was but I recognized Soraya’s voice. I don’t think she even knew she was doing it,’ Jia said.
‘That child,’ Don said as he looked at her fondly. ‘She is special and her powers are strong. She will grow into a powerful witch someday,’ Shang added.
